Supporting Individuals and Families for More Than 25 Years
For more than 25 years, Sacramento-based Advance Kids has been making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with autism and other developmental needs. As a clinician-owned organization, they provide behavioral and support services for children, teens, and adults through programs that include instructional services, residential care, and applied behavioral analysis.
Their approach is rooted in evidence-based care, but what truly sets Advance Kids apart is its culture. The team is driven by compassion, professionalism, and a deep commitment to supporting individuals and families every step of the way.
Partnering with SETA to Build a Strong Workforce
As Advance Kids continues to grow, so does its need for dedicated, passionate team members. That’s where SETA’s Sacramento Works program comes in.
By tapping into SETA’s no-cost employer services, Advance Kids has been able to connect directly with local job seekers through hiring events, job fairs, and pop-ups—creating real opportunities to meet candidates face-to-face and build a strong pipeline of job-ready candidates.
Mariah Bruschera, Recruiter & Community Outreach Specialist at Advance Kids, shared, “SETA has been an incredible pillar of support, one that I hadn’t fully realized was available before engaging with them. It’s clear that their team is deeply committed to helping individuals across the Sacramento community connect with meaningful employment opportunities. From hosting job fairs and career connection sessions to making personal referrals, SETA consistently goes above and beyond to support both job seekers and employers.”
And the results speak for themselves. “Our experience has been especially positive,” she adds. “We recently hired one of our strongest candidates in 2026 after meeting her at a California Employment Development Department (EDD) Pop-Up Mini Job Fair, and she has been an absolute gem to our team.”
Looking Ahead
Advance Kids isn’t slowing down. The team is excited to continue growing its partnership with SETA and exploring new ways to connect with talent, including the potential for a dedicated hiring event in the future. As Mariah puts it, “SETA is truly an invaluable resource for employers in the county, and we’re excited about continuing to build and strengthen our partnership in the future.”
